Ouzoud - waterfalls
This journey combines two natural attractions. The first, located on the border between the High Atlas and Middle Atlas, is Ouzoud, standing 110 meters high. The name comes from the Berber language and means the act of grinding grain. It has always been an ideal spot to escape the summer heat of the plains. The second attraction is the natural land bridge of Imi Nifri, an exceptional natural site near the city of Demnat, which is also home to some avian species, including the endangered Lammergeyer. At 8:00, you will meet your guide and drive north from Marrakech into the countryside, passing through vast fields of olive trees towards the High Atlas. Upon arrival, you'll take a shaded path lined with poplars and olive trees to enjoy scenic views of the falls and the permanent rainbows created by the mist. Explore the area, which is home to families of Barbary apes, before heading off to the city of Demnat. After lunch, you will drive to the second site, the natural land bridge of Imi Nifri. This geological marvel is worth exploring, and a walk through the cave is highly recommended. We will then meet our driver to head back to Marrakech.
